Quality Assurance Officer

Job Introduction
Are you someone who enjoys looking at how services are delivered, identifying what’s working well and finding ways to make things better? Join us as a Quality Assurance Officer and use your analytical skills, attention to detail and curiosity to help improve services and customer experiences.
You’ll play an important role in supporting Housing Ombudsman self-assessments and our annual Consumer Standards self-assessment, working with colleagues across the business to evaluate performance, evidence compliance and identify opportunities to improve services for customers.
You’ll carry out desktop and onsite audits across our operational services, reviewing information, evidence and performance to identify areas for improvement.
We’re looking for someone who is confident analysing information, asking questions and using their judgement to identify issues and opportunities for improvement. You’ll be organised, proactive and comfortable working independently, managing competing priorities and meeting deadlines.
This role works on a hybrid basis, with one day a week in the office and the location rotating between our Staines and Winchester offices. A full UK driving licence is essential as the role includes onsite auditing across our operational services.
An Enhanced DBS check is required for this role.

More About You
- Experience of auditing, quality assurance or performance monitoring, with the ability to identify trends, opportunities for improvement and implement effective service changes
- Excellent attention to detail, with the ability to work accurately, meet tight deadlines and manage competing priorities
- Strong problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to identifying issues and finding effective solutions
- Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with colleagues and customers
- Confident analysing information and using data to support decision-making, including experience using Microsoft Excel and formulas
- Good organisational skills, with the ability to work independently and use your own initiative
- Knowledge of housing legislation, regulation, policy and best practice would be advantageous
- Experience setting up performance measures to monitor service or business plan objectives would be advantageous
- A level or equivalent in Maths and English (Grades A*–C)
- Full UK driving licence and access to a car is essential
